Rooted in Indigenous Wisdom

Welcome to Turtlefire Adventures.

Founded by James Maloney, a First Nations community member with decades of outdoor experience, our mission is to reconnect individuals and families with the healing power of the water and the land.

For many years, James served his community as a dedicated social worker, witnessing firsthand the profound need for spaces where men can safely process trauma, find brotherhood, and achieve mental and emotional well-being.

Turtlefire Adventures was born from that vision—blending professional therapeutic insight with traditional outdoor medicine. Operating throughout the beautiful waters and natural landscapes of the Niagara Region, our guided kayak trips offer a safe, grounding, and transformative experience, whether you are joining us for a specialized men's trauma healing expedition or bringing your family out for a peaceful day of connection on the water.
